Call quality: no audio or dropped calls

No sound on a call, or calls that drop? Most of the time it comes down to the connection, a permission or a Bluetooth device. Go through the checklist below. If it keeps happening, report the call to us, and we'll look at exactly what went wrong.

Short on time? Let your AI assistant help. Connect it to us and just ask, like "Find my call with +45 12 34 56 78 this morning and show me the details". That's handy when you report a bad call. See the MCP guide. Prefer to do it yourself? Here's how.

Quick checklist

  • Update the app. Many audio fixes come in new versions.
  • Check your connection. Calls run over the internet, so a weak signal means choppy or silent audio. Move closer to your router or find a spot with better coverage.
  • Try Wi-Fi vs mobile data. If one is weak, switch to the other and call again. Poor mobile signal but good Wi-Fi? Make sure Wi-Fi is on and connected.
  • Check Bluetooth. Headsets, earbuds and car systems can grab the audio without you noticing. Disconnect Bluetooth and try the call on your phone itself.
  • Check the microphone permission. If the other person can't hear you, make sure the app is allowed to use the microphone. See Mobile app: install.
  • Turn off VPN. A VPN can block or slow down call audio. Turn it off and try again.
  • Restart the app. Close it fully, open it again and make a quick test call.

Calling the person back often works fine. Please still report the call that failed, so we can find the cause.

Travelling abroad

You can use the app abroad, as long as you have internet. Mobile signal is often weaker when you travel, so audio can cut out.

  • Use good Wi-Fi where you can.
  • If mobile data is weak, switch to Wi-Fi before you call.
  • Not on Wi-Fi? Check that roaming data is allowed on your phone.

Report a bad call to us

The fastest way to get help is "Report a problem" in our web app. You pick the calls that went wrong, so we can see exactly what happened. It's in the web app in your browser, not in the mobile app.

  1. Open the web app and click "Report a problem" (the bug icon).
  2. Under "Related calls", select the call or calls that went wrong.
  3. Under "What went wrong?", write what happened in a sentence or two. For example: "The customer couldn't hear me, and the call dropped after 10 seconds."
  4. Add anything that might matter: Wi-Fi or mobile data, Bluetooth headset or car, which country you were in.
  5. Click "Send report".

Can't send the report from your browser? An ad blocker might be stopping it. Turn it off for our app, or write to us instead.

If you write to us, include:

  • The date and time of the call
  • The number you called or that called you
  • Your phone model and app version
